Ferulic acid (ferulic acid), also known as hydroxycinnamic acid, pollution that accelerates skin aging, ultraviolet light or infrared radiation is a powerful antioxidant neutralizing free radical damage.
It is found naturally on the cell wall of plants such as oats, brown rice, peanuts and oranges. However, it is usually associated with apple.
Naturally, ferulic acid is obtained as botanical, but can also be created in a laboratory for quality control, consistency and consumer safety. It is mostly in liquid form and can be designed as serum.
It is known that ferulic acid, an antioxidant, does not repair existing damage, but serves as a shield to protect against free radical formation.
For optimum activity, ferulic acid should be packaged in a dark or opaque bottle to protect it from light and stored in a cool place.
It should be noted that ferulic acid serum tends to return from the original gold orange color to a muddy brown, which shows that the serum is oxidized and therefore it is not so effective.
What are the benefits of ferulic acid to the skin? It protects the skin from pollution and radiation that can cause wrinkles.
Free radicals can cause loss of firmness in the skin, and ferulic acid serves as a shield to protect the skin from this damage.
Oxidative damage can cause inflammation of the skin, which clogs the pores and causes acne. Antioxidants such as ferulic acid have anti-inflammatory properties.
Pollution and radiation cause an increase in pigment changes such as sunspots and try to protect the skin from this effect.
Pollution and radiation cause an increase in blood vessel formation on the skin (which leads to redness) and works to protect the skin of ferulic acid.
When used together with other antioxidants (such as vitamin C, vitamin E), ferulic acid can strengthen and make them more stable.

How to use Ferulic Acid? For the best results, apply two to three drops of ferulic acid serum or cream on clean, dry skin and use your fingers to distribute the product evenly to your face. Continue your routine with moisturizer and sunscreen.
Ferulic acid can be used twice a day. It can help repair mechanisms that occur while sleeping at night. However, this application is not recommended for every skin type.
If you use peeling acids, do not apply with ferulic acid at the same time.

Is Ferulic Acid used in summer? Ferulic acid is fully suitable for use during summer and during the day. The component is not phototoxic and therefore has no effect that increases the sensitivity of the skin to UV radiation.
In addition, it does not cause the epidermis to be peeled.
