Quarter tea cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
1 clove of garlic, grated
Preparation of
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix until smooth.
Taste it and add some salt and pepper if necessary.
Various tips and alternatives
For more freshness, you can add some finely chopped fresh mint or dill.
You can add some sumac or tahini for an extra color and a sharp stroke.
For a more dense sauce you can replace a portion of the yogurt with sour cream.
How long does it last in the refrigerator?
You can store the Shawarma sauce in an air -proof container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
