RAIN Method or R.A.I.N. Method; It is a practice of awareness developed by psychologist and meditation teacher Tara Brach.
What is the RAIN method? R (recognize) – Understand what is happening
A (Allow) – Let life be as it is
I (Investigate) – Search for your inner experience with kindness
N (Non -iDetification) – It means not to identify with experience.
Each 4 -step step can be explained in more detail as follows:
R – Realize what is happening: The first step in the RAIN method is to realize what is happening in your body, mind and emotions. You can do this by bringing your attention to your current mother and noticing your thoughts, emotions and physical sensations.
A – Let life be as it is: the second step is to allow them to be exactly what they are without trying to change or control things. This means leaving any resistance or judgment you may have with the situation.
I – Searching for internal experience: the third step is to investigate your experience with a sense of curiosity and kindness. “What do I feel?” You can ask questions like. or “What is this feeling in my body?” And approach your experience with a non -judicial attitude.
N – Not identifying with experience: The last step is to remember that you don’t have your thoughts, emotions or physical sensations. Instead, you are aware of these experiences. By realizing this, you can get away from your experience and avoid getting caught in it.
In general, RAIN method is a powerful tool for developing awareness and self -compassion. It can help you develop a sense of awareness and acceptance even in challenging situations.
