How to make Jaljeera? Materials
Half a cup of fresh mint quarter cup of fresh coriander
1 small piece root ginger
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 teaspoons of cumin powder 2 teaspoons of Himalaya salt or kalan namak (black salt) quarter teaspoon dust black pepper 1 teaspoon of sugar – on request-
2 cups of water -to dilute afterwards-
Preparation of
Wash and dry fresh mint and fresh coriander leaves.
Transfer to a kitchen processor with ginger, lemon juice and all other spices.
Add 2-3 tablespoons of water and obtain a smooth paste.
Transfer the paste to a large bowl or jug.
Add 2 cups of juice and leave in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours before serving.
Pour into a long glass for the service, decorate with boondi according to request, and use mint leaves.
